The Surface Analysis & Imaging Lab (SAIL) is a shared user facility, located at the former Tribology Laboratory in the Gonzaga University Herak Center. SAIL is home to an Asylum Research MFP-3D Origin+ and Keysight 5500 atomic force microscopes, a Tescan Vega 3 scanning electron microscope, a Cooke Vacuum Systems magnetron sputtering system, as well as a Cressington sputter coater (to support SEM sample preparation).
Instrument access is available to all Gonzaga faculty and supervised student researchers. Individuals and entities external to Gonzaga University interested in using SAIL instrumentation are strongly encouraged to contact Prof. Harman Khare.
